Harrisburg Senators (2022 Road Cap)

This Harrisburg Senators "Road Cap" was selected for this week's  Fresh Fitted Friday post  as tribute to Kamala Harris who served a term as a United States Senator from California from 2016 until assuming her current role of U.S. Vice President in 2021. Earlier this week, V.P. Harris lost her campaign for the office of U.S. President which makes the subject of this week's post the fourth in a row to have the "Didn't Work Out This Time" theme. Ahead of writing this week, I intended to claim that I do not make a habit of churning politically concentrated posts but looking back through the archives confirms this is the third time the attention shifted to  Presidential  matters. While this blog started in 2011, the election in 2012 was not covered as my only post that year was in April. 2018 Uni Watch Classic Cap (Ebbets Field Flannels)

In all the years posting on this blog, I have never done any sort of Veterans Day post which I think is somewhat of a shame considering my hometown Virginia Beach is mere minutes away from  Naval Station Norfolk which is  the world's largest naval base.  Whether I was seeing the Tidewater Tides play or just out and about in town, uniforms were a regular sight growing up! Perhaps the reason for not having done a dedicated post is that I do not own any of the "Armed Forces Day" hats so while I do not have a military uniform themed cap, what I do have is a sort of meta-uniform cap by way of Paul Lukas's Uni Watch Blog which if we are being honest is a big reason why my blog exists. Obsessing over the nuances of uniforms is a tale as old as time.
