Gwinnett Stripers (Peach)

There is no national holiday or major event happening this weekend for me to reference for this week's theme, but luckily I only have to look at the boarding pass in my phone's Delta app for my upcoming flight to Atlanta tomorrow morning to get me hyped up to eat some incredible BBQ and peaches that are now in season.

Sadly, the Atlanta Braves are on the road, and so are their Triple-A affiliate in Gwinnett, but that's not stopping me from posting a peach-hued variant of the Stripers home cap for this week's Fresh Fitted Friday post!

This is the third Stripers hat I've written about and while I like the ball-on-hook here, I have to strain to see the ball so I think I might prefer the alternate logo I wrote about in 2021.

I love the pop on the undervisor here more than that alternate cap, though. It's just so peachy!

The light and breezy look is completed with the peach-laden MILB batterman and New Era embroidery on the side.

The timing of this trip to the Peach State might not be great for seeing a ballgame, but that is just as well because the purpose of the trip is to celebrate some family milestones. But hopefully, those festivities can include some clingstones as peach season is in full effect at this point of the year. In fact, the weekend after this one is the beginning of the 2026 Georgia Peach Festival.

While that festival will be celebrating its 40th occurrence, just a few weeks ago the Stripers paid tribute to the state's official fruit by playing as the Georgia Peaches for the third straight year. That special series has taken place in different months over the past three years, with this year's event happening April 24-26, which I've also missed by a few weeks!

I have no plans to be back in Atlanta before the end of the baseball season, so if I see a Braves game, it might have to be for a playoff game should we visit again in the early fall. I'm not sure how this will work out as I am hoping to see some Arizona Fall League action this year. But we shall see if that transpires, as even my local baseball planning has been suboptimal this year!

I still have not made it to a game at Yankee Stadium yet, and it looks as though my next opportunity will be one of the mid-week games against the Cleveland Guardians in a few days. Otherwise, I would have to wait until the Chicago White Sox are in town in a few weeks, but I would prefer not to wait that long to see my first Yankees game of 2026!

This week's Fresh Fitted Friday selection is not going on the Trading Block however please don't hesitate to reach out if you want any other cap from that list and you are willing to part with any of the hats on my Wish List.

As always, thanks for coming back to read about baseball hat geekery. If you'd like to discuss a trade or simply just chat about hats, please feel free to connect via the following social sites:
