2023 Manchester Chicken Tenders (New Hampshire Fisher Cats Theme Night)

This week's post is another light-hearted one as chicken tender enthusiasts collectively celebrate Chicken Finger Day which happens to fall tomorrow July 27. The holiday itself was coined by Raising Canes which is a fast food restaurant that works painstakingly hard to reach their goal of creating the perfect chicken finger, otherwise known as chicken goujons, chicken strips, chicken fillets as well  chicken tenders which is what they were first called upon being invented at  Manchester’s Puritan Backroom Restaurant  in 1974.  To honor the iconic regional delicacy that was created in their city, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats hosted their theme night where they played as the  Manchester Chicken Tenders on  June 4, 2022. Because they know palate preference for tenders, or tendies as they are also affectionally known as, they created three different flavors for fans to chose their preference: Classic, Buffalo and  Coconut. New Hampshire Fisher Cats - Fresh Fitted Friday!!!!

Last week's Birmingham Barons post might have gotten me really hype on Double-A caps so I sense more of those coming over the next few weeks. Because today is my birthday, I decided to give myself a little shout-out by featuring a cap with my initials (NH) and what's even cooler about this New Hampshire Fisher Cats hat is that it's one my wife gifted to me. This is the primary (I'm so sorry; I couldn't help myself) cap worn by the Fisher Cats and while its logo is not as flashy as some of the other minor league caps out there, I like that the line through the H is the fisher's tail. Also, this is an article about the fisher. The standard current-day New Era taping and tags are found on this cap. Unlikely that this set of tags will change anytime soon, but hey you never know!
