2026 Jersey Shore BlueClaws (Liberty Bucket Alternate)

Tomorrow is the United States' 250th anniversary and for beachgoers, the busiest weekend of the year will be extra amplified over this Fourth of July holiday weekend. Sadly, I won't be enjoying time by the ocean this weekend, but this week's Fresh Fitted Friday selection makes me feel like I'm there  but at least I did not have to need to  dig  deep for a topic for this post. The Jersey Shore BlueClaws debuted this new beach-coded alternate logo to commemorate their 25th anniversary season, which as it happens coincides with the United States celebrating its 250th birthday. I love that MILB caps have gone back to grey undervisors and hope the trend continues for many years to come. A large majority of the MLB caps I feature on this blog have a red, white, and blue batterman, but to me the stars seem to be shining extra bright here in tribute to the big birthday party happening for the U.S. tomorrow. I love minor league logos that incorporate baseball elements as well as...

Norfolk Tides (2019 Stars & Stripes)

As mentioned in last week's post, the  "Homecoming Series"  would be at least two parts. And because  July 4 falls on a Friday this year, this week's entry takes us to my home state of Virginia to highlight the "Stars & Stripes" cap the Norfolk Tides wore during games played throughout the Independence Day weekend in 2019 . When the Tides launched their  refreshed logo set designed by Brandiose  following the 2015 season, I immediately picked up the home and road caps but for some reason held off on their alternate featuring a "T" in historic naval lettering. It's kind of a "if you know, you know" sort of thing as that design isn't the most widely recognized logo in minor league baseball but that's ok! The straightforward elegance of the military font is splendidly done up in the colors of Old Glory and the league patch adds even more pop to the overall look of the cap. I am a sucker for a white sweatband and a green und...

Milwaukee Brewers City Connect "Grill" Rail with Cooler Patch (Hat Club exclusive)

The past two write-ups have been notably more verbose than usual around here so  I hope this 4th of July weekend brings a sort of return to form as we celebrate the tailgating and cookout aspect of the holiday with a Milwaukee Brewers City Connect "Grill" cap for this week's Fresh Fitted Friday post. This is a Hat Club exclusive which varies from the on-field version the Brew Crew wears during its City Connect games. In terms of aesthetics, I actually prefer how the baseball-stitched grill design from the right sleeve patch of the team's j ersey is the primary focus on this hat. Hat Club also released a non-rail version of this cap which flips the placement of the cooler and grill designs. Even though the "Brewed in Milwaukee" is not as easy to read here, I chose this one because the baseball grill logo needed to be front and center. Clean flat batterman logo on a powder blue crown is one of the most ultimate retro 1980s ways to go which means I am in full...
