Tomorrow is the United States' 250th anniversary and for beachgoers, the busiest weekend of the year will be extra amplified over this Fourth of July holiday weekend. Sadly, I won't be enjoying time by the ocean this weekend, but this week's Fresh Fitted Friday selection makes me feel like I'm there but at least I did not have to need to dig deep for a topic for this post.
| I love that MILB caps have gone back to grey undervisors and hope the trend continues for many years to come. |
I love minor league logos that incorporate baseball elements as well as pays homage to their parent clubs. This cap expertly does both as the Liberty Bell in the BlueClaws’ parent club city of Philadelphia is reimagined with a bat, beach bucket, and pail combo as a nod to the strong beach culture of the BlueClaws home in Lakewood, NJ.
While we are on the topic of the Phillies, this year's MLB All-Star game will be played at Citizen Bank Park in Philadelphia in recognition of the Declaration of Independence being primarily signed at the Pennsylvania State House (now known as Independence Hall) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
This week's cap is now my favorite BlueClaws cap and is Phillies adjacent enough to wear to a ballgame the next time I am in Philly. I considered writing about another Phillies-related cap for next week which is right before the All-Star break but I now have something even more special planned so please make to to check back here then.
This week's Fresh Fitted Friday selection is not going on the Trading Block however please don't hesitate to reach out if you want any other cap from that list and you are willing to part with any of the hats on my Wish List.
As always, thanks for coming back to read about baseball hat geekery. If you'd like to discuss a trade or simply just chat about hats, please feel free to connect via the following social sites:
