I hope everyone has enjoyed the "Buffalove" over the past five weeks and if you didn't that's ok because at least you got to momentarily experience the blog delving into the realm of football, which was definitely a new sort of sensation for me after all these years!
Another first that I'm excited about is this week's Bangor Blue Ox cap is the first-ever Northeast League cap to be featured here. It might seem hard to believe that even in this blog's tenth year I'm still finding new leagues to write about but I think the sheer volume of obscure teams out there is a testament to the widespread reach that baseball has across this country.
|This cap came to me as part of a larger lot purchase and I have to admit I had no idea what team used this logo when I first saw it. Thankfully the hat nerds on Instagram were out in full force that day and provided me with an answer within minutes!|
|The sweatband on this cap is rather soiled and I have to admit I'm not the foremost expert on cleaning them so if you have any ideas of how to remedy this, please get in touch with me via Instagram or Twitter.|
Before I end this post, I just want to make sure y'all don't think this week's Fresh Fitted Friday selection was just chosen based on its uniqueness. Rest assured friends, I've had this cap for a while but held off on posting until now as Lunar New Year 2021 begins today, February 12 and the corresponding Chinese zodiac animal is the Ox. This bodes well for 2021, folks!
In breaking with an apparent trend over the past few weeks, this week's cap is going on the Trading Block as it is incredibly hard to come by and I'm sure it is at the top of someone's wish list. I considered holding onto it solely based on its rarity but I decided in the end finding the perfect home for this hat would be a better outcome.
If that description matches you, don't hesitate to reach out if you want this or any other cap from that list and you are willing to part with any of the hats on my Wish List or even just something you think might be interesting to me!
As always, thanks for coming back to read about baseball hat geekery. I've got comments disabled here so if you'd like to discuss a trade or simply just chat about hats, please feel free to connect via the following social sites:
