This upcoming Thanksgiving will once again be spent with friends who live a thirty minutes drive away from Camden Yards so this week's Fresh Fitted Friday selection keeps the City Connect theme going with the cap the Baltimore Orioles have worn since becoming the 19th team to launch a uniform for MLB's wildly successful engagement.
Like last week's sweatband and undervisor, this one goes off on both aspects which I am thrilled about. |
I especially love the aspirational message of "you can't clip these wings" here! |
Detractors of City Connect claim it is a cash grab but for smaller market teams like Baltimore which could use extra exposure and revenue, I fail to see how that is anything other than a good thing. Next season will see at least six teams making tweaks to their City Connect kits and I am chiefly interested in the modifications the San Francisco Giants make as they are my favorite team yet have my least favorite uniform of the campaign!
In the first photo's caption I stated that it had it been 50 years since the team had sported a "B" on a ballcap and interestingly enough, I also mentioned that fun bit of history trivia when I wrote about my retro of that 1963 Orioles cap in the Thanksgiving edition of Fresh Fitted Friday back in 2017. As you can tell, my "Thanksgiving in Baltimore" love goes deep and hopefully you also will be able to unwind with special people over the holiday as well.
This week's Fresh Fitted Friday selection is not going on the Trading Block however please don't hesitate to reach out if you want any other cap from that list and you are willing to part with any of the hats on my Wish List.
As always, thanks for coming back to read about baseball hat geekery. If you'd like to discuss a trade or simply just chat about hats, please feel free to connect via the following social sites:
