1952 Quebec Braves (Ebbets Field Flannels retro)

With Opening Week of the 2025 MLB regular season in the books, I am thrilled to report I have gorged on as much baseball as I possibly could. I am also happy with my San Francisco Giants' 5-1 record although it is a shame that is only good enough for third place in the NL West as the San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers hold records of of 7-0 and 8-0, respectively.

Sadly the Atlanta Braves were unable to hand the Dodgers their first loss this past Wednesday night and are now 0-7 to start the season giving them the worst record in baseball. The Braves have 155 more games to play so this slow start does not necessarily negate the preseason prognosticators who predicted expected their season totals finishing second only to the Dodgers.

I am amused how the "0" in their win column aligns with 404 Day which is an unofficial holiday in Atlanta celebrating the city's first area code while a 404 error is a HTTP status code when a webpage or resource cannot be found. Besides a winning game, the Braves' sorely missing resources are Ronald Acuña Jr. and Spencer Strider, both of whom are injured and cannot return soon enough.

So in honor of 404 Day, this week's Fresh Fitted Friday selection is a 1952 Quebec Braves retro from Ebbets Field Flannels which I hope helps the Braves find those missing wins this weekend. It's also a tribute to the many teams who have played in the Canadian province, including the 1950 Quebec Braves which are counted among the top 100 best minor league teams in history.

Ironically, if you click this link you will be taken to an actual example of a 404 page which exists because Ebbets decided this cap should no longer be in production, which is a terrible mistake in my view!

Love the sheen of the satin undervisor on an unworn Ebbets ballcap.

This hat was purchased before the great Ebbets sell off of 2025 so hopefully that means it will only get better with time as one has come to expect from their products.

This week's Fresh Fitted Friday selection is not going on the Trading Block however please don't hesitate to reach out if you want any other cap from that list and you are willing to part with any of the hats on my Wish List.

As always, thanks for coming back to read about baseball hat geekery. If you'd like to discuss a trade or simply just chat about hats, please feel free to connect via the following social sites:
