Edmonton Trappers Retro - Fresh Fitted Friday!!!!

This week's episode of The Quarantine Road Trip still finds us in Alberta however this time we are taken even further north as we are examining this Edmonton Trappers retro that I picked up from Hat Club in August 2019.

Like last week's Calgary hat, I've got a strong connection to this Trappers logo which is ironic considering it was only a few years ago when I finally examined he design up close. That dude is pretty weird looking, isn't he?

I've got to take a quick moment to say how much I appreciate Hat Club's commitment to producing high quality caps—and usually Made in U.S.A. taboot—as well as their usual reliability in reproducing logos for lots of these wacky teams from he 1980s and 90's that are now defunct.

The combination of the kelly green underbrim with no MILB batterman is old school and I'm very into it.

I really hope that Hat Club gets the itch to release more of these retro caps as it seems like it's been a while since I've felt the need to empty my wallet on their site. The big one on my Wish List is the cap the Peninsula Pilots wore in the 1990s. This would be an incredible addition to my collection considering the only one I ever found was pretty ragged.

I've finally picked up the Utica Blue Sox and Oneonta Yankees caps that I was hunting however I would not be mad if Hat Club decided to retro those caps as it's nice to have a polyester version of those timeless logos. And just in case anyone cares, another one I'd be really happy to see is a pre-1994 Huntsville Stars cap. Ok, I'm done begging for now!

I feel like I went pretty deep with the opinions on the current state of affairs last week and we still haven't seen any movement in terms of the owners and players coming up with a viable solution for the 2020 baseball season.

I'm hoping that we will have some good news to celebrate next week and if not I'll just have to complain some more!

In all seriousness, we are living through some extraordinary times. I'll continue to speak out against racial injustice and if that is alienating to anyone out there who is too fragile to accept that, then that's ok with me. I'll gladly let those folks, alienate!

It's been a while since I've put a cap on the Trading Block so I suppose it makes sense one from a former Dodgers affiliate (because I hate the Dodgers, you see) goes on there so please reach out if you want this or another cap from that list and are willing to part with something from my Wish List and/or one you think I might be interested in.

As always, thanks for coming back to read about baseball hat geekery. I've got comments disabled here so if you'd like to discuss a trade or simply just chat about hats, please feel free to connect via the following social sites:
