I took a break from writing last week as I was simply too invested in the ALCS and NLCS to even formulate a coherent sentence and besides that I did not have an interesting hat to write about! But now that the Mets have been eliminated by the Dodgers, now is as good a time as any to showcase a fun hat to honor an otherwise outstanding year for The Kings of Queens.
Grey undervisor brings the retro vibes which a perfect match to the classically Amazin' royal blue and orange elements in the cap's design |
This is such a clean cap overall, I think I will be wearing this cap around town frequently. |
After the Yankees punched their ticket to the World Series with their ALCS Game 5 win over Cleveland this past Saturday night, I became a ball of nervous energy as I hoped the Mets would have a similar outcome in Game 6 of the NLCS the following night. The Dodgers turned out to be the superior team but the Mets will have their chance again next season if they make the right moves and if the other more intangible pieces also fall into place.
Focusing on this year though, I am steadfast in hoping the Yankees do away with the Dodgers in quick order but not too fast because I need them to drop just one of the early games so that I can watch them clinch the World Series in person for Game 5 at Yankee Stadium this coming Wednesday. Even typing out those words was surreal so I cannot begin to imagine what that experience will be like when I am actually there!
As long as it is not a series sweep, it is happening for me and I am very much looking forward to reporting back all the pertinent details of being in attendance for a World Series game for the very first time. Now the biggest question I need to answer is what Yankees cap I should wear to the game. I have a few contenders in mind but as an overzealous hat collector, this is an important decision so stay tuned for that choice in next week's post!
This week's Fresh Fitted Friday selection is not going on the Trading Block however please don't hesitate to reach out if you want any other cap from that list and you are willing to part with any of the hats on my Wish List.
