Today's Fresh Fitted Friday post is first of at least two in a "Homecoming Series" as I am currently traveling toward my alma mater, the University of Colorado Boulder. While I usually make efforts to attend baseball games during jaunts occuring during the season, my packed schedule leaves limited chances of making it to a Colorado Rockies game this time around.
I've come to terms with this actuality since this is really more of a live music journey as I'll be seeing Phish play three shows at Folsom Field. I suppose there is a sports element to this trip after all because that is where the Buffaloes play their home football games!
I am fairly certain this is my first visit inside the stadium as I never went to a football game back in my college days and am unsure if I went to any other event at Folsom Field. I did however go to a few men's basketball games back then and while I really would have enjoyed attending some Buffaloes baseball games, their baseball program was cut after the 1980 season.
All that said, the conclusion of the 2025 College World Series earlier this week coupled with this Colorado voyage seems as good of a reason as any to highlight a retro reproduction of the cap worn by the CU baseball team in 1924. To put things in perspective, that was 56 years before the program ceased and it has now been 45 years since that discontinuation of CU baseball.
Not the most exciting version of CU's logo but the colors are right and the vintage vibes here are undefeated. |
This week's Fresh Fitted Friday selection is not going on the Trading Block however please don't hesitate to reach out if you want any other cap from that list and you are willing to part with any of the hats on my Wish List.
