Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino "Mechanic"

Today's date is June 6 (aka 6/6), so the theme of this week's post is the Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino. This is my second 66ers post of the year, but the date falling on a Friday seemed like better timing than waiting until it happens again in 2031, although the next time after that would be in 2036, which would have been especially cool because six times six is 36!

I am a big fan of all-cap logos featuring any type of character swinging a bat or any object resembling a bat, and this one fits the bill.

I picked this cap up in 2023, so I added that year as a label on this post to help identify the years caps are from in future posts.

Glancing upon the colorful MILB batterman here for the "looking back" segment of the post, I should stress how glad I am to have picked up this cap in 2023 as it is now almost impossible to find on most sites. My assumption is it's being phased out, which is a shame!

In my Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino "Cherubs" post, I repeated my intention to pick up a Modesto A's hat to honor that city as it will no longer host a California League team after this season. Unlike my bang-on time with grabbing this cap, I should have jumped on one of the many great retro releases of that logo over the years.

Speaking of time once more, I should mention this hat is also a fitting tribute for National Automotive Service Professionals Day, which is celebrated on June 12, which is this coming Thursday. Thanks to them, our timing belts stay on even if we don't exactly know what a timing belt does. I do, however, know six plus six is 12, so I plan to wear this hat on the 12th, too!

This week's Fresh Fitted Friday selection is not going on the Trading Block however please don't hesitate to reach out if you want any other cap from that list and you are willing to part with any of the hats on my Wish List.

As always, thanks for coming back to read about baseball hat geekery. If you'd like to discuss a trade or simply just chat about hats, please feel free to connect via the following social sites:
